What we are about.
Stand-Up Florida, SUF, is a non-partisan activist organization dedicated to advancing and achieving equal benefits, protections, and human rights for GLBT citizens in Florida and Nationwide. SUF works closely with other groups or organizations in an effort to provide a united front and voice for those who support common causes for the GLBT community. We assist or organize actions, protests or marches in Tallahassee, Washington DC, and cities throughout the U.S. if need be. SUF plans to organize monthly activities to educate and offer opportunities for members of the GLBT community and our allies to come together on issues of importance to us all.
Amendment 14:
Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
